Scholarships Available for National Conference on Volunteering and Service

AUSTIN – Scholarships are available for the National Conference on Volunteering and Service, taking place June 28-30, 2010, in New York City. The scholarships will cover the conference registration fee; attendees must fund their travel, lodging and meals. According to the conference Web site, applications for scholarships are due before Saturday, April 3, 2010.

Convened nationally by the Corporation for National and Community Service and Points of Light Foundation and locally by NYC Service and New Yorkers Volunteer, this conference is for service, volunteerism and civic engagement leaders in the nonprofit, government and private sectors. AmeriCorps alums, social entrepreneurs, volunteer managers, national service directors and staff, corporate social responsibility professionals, nonprofit employees and more are encouraged to attend this exciting conference.
