On Tuesday, June 30, President Barack Obama brought national attention to the importance of innovation in the nonprofit sector by officially announcing the Community Solutions Agenda. By focusing $650 million of the Recovery Act toward the What Works Fund at the Department of Education, the government will, in the president's words, "be investing in the most successful, highest-impact initiatives in our school districts and communities."

During his speech, the president lauded several nonprofit organizations with unique strategies and program structures, and noted the tremendous impact that these organizations have had for their clients. A full list of organizations mentioned during the program, as well as program attendees, can be found via the White House's press office here.
