An Annual Fund is the foundation of a successful fundraising program, especially for emerging organizations. The annual fund provides a great means for staying connected with previous donors and for expanding your base of support. This session will help attendees better understand:
- The basics of planning an annual fund;
- How to set realistic objectives and goals;
- The importance of segmenting appeals;
- Which messages and strategies to employ;
- How to get volunteers actively involved and
- How to assess the effectiveness of your annual campaign.
The presentor is Tom Moore, who is in his 28th year as a fundraising professional. For the past eight years, he has led the advancement function at The Kinkaid School. Prior to his appointment at Kinkaid, Tom served in the Office of Development at Baylor College of Medicine for eight years. He spent 10 years in ""eye banking,"" including five years in Houston and five years as the president/chief executive officer of the Eye Bank Association of America in Washington, D.C.
