Leader Circles are collaborative learning networks where nonprofit executives meet to address common challenges, exchange ideas and share solutions. A best practice for group formation includes selection of nonprofit executives from organizations that are diverse in mission but have similar-sized budgets.

These groups meet monthly for a period of seven months in facilitated peer-coaching groups of five to seven people.

Executive Directors will benefit by:

  • Network with colleagues who face similar challenges and opportunities,
  • Receive feedback, encouragement and validation for ideas before releasing them publicly,
  • Achieve personal goals,
  • Envision new possibilities and
  • Renew energy levels.

Organizations will benefit by:

  • Developing shared solutions with other nonprofits for organizational challenges,
  • Utilizing the best practices of other organizations,
  • Seeing increased effectiveness in their executive director,
  • Seeing an increased performance and impact of their organization and
  • Forming stronger relationships with other nonprofits in their community.
