LEAD - A Get HandsOn Summit

The world of civic engagement is changing. HandsOn Network and the University of Phoenix are convening LEAD - a Get HandsOn Summit with the goal of empowering volunteer leaders to create impact using the latest Web-based technology as the face of volunteering evolves.

Experts, thought leaders and approximately 250 individuals from the service field will convene for this all-day gathering at the Newseum in Washington, D.C., sponsored by SAP. Innovators will share knowledge and best practices with those in field looking to take bold steps in their communities to unleash the civic power of individual volunteer leaders. Participants will strategize ways to surpass boundaries of demographics and geography, using the platform of service to bridge differences and build community and advancing the goals of the Get HandsOn campaign.

LEAD is just one of the exciting events HandsOn Network and Points of Light Institute are leading during National Volunteer Week.
