Maximize funding for total organizational costs.

Central to effectively funding all the required functions of a nonprofit organization is a basic understanding of the organization's cost structure. Proper identification and treatment of an organization's costs are determining factors in winning awards that will sustain an organization. Managers of nonprofit organizations quickly discover the challenges of receiving funds for indirect costs.

In this class, participants will gain a working knowledge of how to properly handle operating costs in order to maximize funding for total organizational costs (indirect and direct). During this three-hour interactive class, participants will learn:

  • Basic cost principles compliant with OMB Circular A-122.
  • How to identify direct costs and indirect (facilities and administration) costs.
  • The available options for cost recovery of indirect (facilities and administration) costs.

The instructor is Darrell Harris, CPA, principal, MicroBooks Management. With over 16 years experience in the field of financial accounting, Harris operates a private practice dedicated to being best in class for providing core financial accounting services to business enterprises and not-for-profit organizations.

Seating is limited, so please register early.
