Join us for this interactive, hands-on workshop where we will explore the construction of quality training and learning experiences. Using adult learning theory as our foundation, we will examine the key building blocks of any effective training. Participants will then have the chance to create and enhance their own training using these building blocks. After this training participants, will be able to:
- Identify key elements of an effective training.
- Identify strategies to use to enhance their own training.
The presenters are Mindy May and Pam Autio.
Mindy May, a seasoned program director and educator, has over 20 years of experience training adult learners on a variety of topics, including building collaborative relationships, child development and adult learning. She is a Project Director for the Brazelton Touchpoints Center.
Pam Autio has 23 years of experience providing training for teachers and other professionals in the public school system and nonprofit sector, and enjoys facilitating train-the-trainer sessions the most. She is currently with the Anti-Defamation League in Houston promoting the Miller Early Childhood Initiative, which provides diversity training for pre-school teachers.
